Zech McPhearson: Winning with Style Points

On a scale from Barkley, whose style Josh describes as universal and bold, to McCaffrey, who leans more towards simple and elegant styles, Zech falls somewhere in between. Josh’s agency, PEÆK, has an inventory to suit his varied preferences.

PEÆK has interchangeable spellings and its meaning aligns with its purpose of helping athletes look, feel, and in turn play their best.

“Peak means I want those I’m styling to peak in their respective careers and goal lives; I want it to go deeper into fashion,” Josh said.

“Peek means I want my clients to notice what they’re wearing, for people to look at them when they put their clothes on. I think it’s confidence-building, knowing you look good, but other people seeing you as good.”‘

Even when they’re not working on a proper game-day fit, Zech still seeks his brother’s styling expertise.

The two often FaceTime each other, discussing soccer, family, and goals as Zech poses in front of his iPhone and Josh perfects their outfits.

It’s already been a record-breaking year for the McPhearson clan, which boasts eight athletic siblings: Gerrick Jr., Derrick, Emmanuel, Jeremiah, Matthew, Josh, Zech and Kimberly. And the best is yet to come.

Josh expressed his interest in expanding his influence beyond the NFL, looking for opportunities to work with people in other sports and the broader realm of entertainment.

As for Zech, he’s had a fruitful second season, earning NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors after a standout performance in the team’s season opener: he had a total of 2 special teams tackles. that tied his run and recovered an upset onside kick in the third quarter that set up a scoring drive in a 38-35 win at Detroit. He had his first career sack in a 22-16 win over the Giants in Week 18, and recorded a momentous tackle on a punt return in Saturday’s playoff game.

He and his team are less than a week away from a monumental matchup between the Eagles and 49ers to decide which team will represent the NFC in Super Bowl LVII.

Ambition is ever present for the McPhearsons: their father, Gerrick, and mother, Kim, raised them with a lesson that they hold close in all their endeavors.

“My dad always tells me, he tells all of my (siblings), including Zechariah, that the best days of our lives are yet to come,” Josh said. “So that’s my perspective. My best days in life are yet to come.”

And he knows Zech’s are too.

“He went through a lot to get to where he is, from being at Penn State, not playing, transferring to Texas Tech and becoming an All-American. He just endured all those phases when he was going through a lot, to get to where he is, to get over all those trials and hurdles,” Josh said.

“My family is extremely proud of him. He is representing our family and our last name in a great light.”
