TRIBE launches lifestyle hotel in Bali

Design-driven lifestyle brand TRIBE has unveiled TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach, its first hotel in Indonesia. The new property, which is part of Ennismore, draws on the region’s cultural hallmarks through a PT design. Indonesian metaphor embracing lines and color combinations that are distinctly Balinese. “We were inspired by cultural and lifestyle characteristics, such as dance, clothing and also religion,” says Alice Samadi, Metaphor’s marketing executive, who calls the hotel a “perfect marriage of the urban character of Tribe with the atmosphere of a resort, while enhancing the modern style. Balinese culture.”

The knots and weaves that distinguish the traditional Kebaya Batik Kamben cloth are referenced in wiry shapes throughout the interior. The abundant rattan sustainably reinforces nature and offsets vibrant color notes that are also inspired by the environment. Details like brass accents infuse modernity alongside locally sourced materiality.

A cozy and stylish cafe by day and bar by night, the hotel’s ground-floor concept is set up alongside a take-out option, while Afterglow, a rooftop restaurant and bar, crowns the property with views of the the infinity pool on site. The lobby and rooftop are also home to flexible coworking spaces that encourage openness to travelers and locals alike. A 24-hour fitness center and plenty of meeting and event facilities complete the public spaces.

The hotel’s 165 smart rooms vary in six configurations, each of which is lined with floor-to-ceiling windows and ample storage space.
