Columbia Fashion Week (ColaFW) brings back its most glamorous night of the year. The ColaFW Met Gala and Runway will take place on December 17 at the Columbia Museum of Art. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for general admission guests and the runway display will begin at 7 p.m.

This year ColaFW Met Gala has teamed up with several local and famous designers to showcase their work. Designers include Anton & Maxine, Laquanius Cutner, Asher Bowen, Jeanne Nuage and Ja’van Jerrod, as well as highlighting celebrity designer Timeekah Murphy and her line, Alani Taylor. Murphy has designed for celebrities like Beyoncé, Cardi B, Paris Hilton and more.

This year’s theme is “old glamour” and guests are invited to dazzle in formal attire. The event will include a red carpet, music, entertainment, parades and more.

Juliette Muller, CEO and Owner of Columbia Fashion Week, said: “The ColaFW Met Gala is a great event for fashion and our growing city. Columbia Fashion Week is dedicated to producing quality, couture shows that celebrate our local talent while drawing national fashion industry professionals and visitors to our beautiful city.

“This year, Columbia Fashion Week set an ambitious goal to make Columbia a fashion capital within the industry. This means supporting our fashion creatives and retailers who call Columbia home; however, we are looking to attract even more fashion retailers and designers to our city through events like the ColaFW Met Gala and our summer shows. We believe that our dedication to supporting and expanding the local fashion industry contributes positively to the growth and support of our local economy.”

Last year, more than 250 guests celebrated fashion by attending the first ever ColaFW Met Gala, where local designers showcased their collections.
