A video of a Singaporean boyfriend surprising his girlfriend with a trip to Paris recently went viral.
On December 28, 2022, the couple posted a nearly 2-minute clip on Tik Tok about the sweet gesture.
The beginning of the video shows the bride mesmerized by scenes from the French capital. “My girlfriend has always wanted to go to Paris,” reads the text on the screen.
The boyfriend reveals that he secretly bought tickets to Paris. In early December last year, he paid S$2,303.20 (approximately $1,717) for a round-trip Singapore Airlines flight for him and his girlfriend.

After spending a day together, the couple can be seen eating at home. The groom asks his bride to choose one of two sheets of paper with travel destinations; she doesn’t know that they both say “Paris”.
“I showed him the tickets,” the video’s on-screen text reads. The girlfriend stares at her boyfriend’s cell phone in disbelief before tears well up in her eyes.
“I’m very touched,” she can be heard saying.

At the end of the video, the couple agree to start saving money for their November 2023 trip.
Several TikTok users have commented on the now-viral video, which has already received more than 179,000 views and 14,500 likes.
“She is so gorgeous! What is this? You better propose to her in Paris,” wrote one user.
