If you’ve noticed that your more fashionable friends are stressing more than usual about their wardrobes or updating the CFDA website over and over again, don’t panic. These are simply telltale signs that another Fashion Week is almost upon us, so if you haven’t already locked down the second week of September in your Google Cal, I suggest you do so now.
Every year, New York Fashion Week hosts a bevy of not only incredible shows, but also ornate presentations, private previews, lavish parties and much more. Recent seasons have been decidedly more low-key due to pandemic precautions, but the Spring/Summer 2023 season is shaping up to be a big deal. (Read: Who could have seen a Fendi show coming?)
The Council of Fashion Designers of America creates the official calendar in association with IMG’s NYFW: The Shows, while many smaller designers also coordinate their own shows and special events during Fashion Week as a way to get in on the action. .
The official calendar runs from September 9 to September 13. Read on for a look at each day’s lineup, plus designers sticking to digital or hosting private previews by appointment.
