After its launch in 2012, DFW has brought the Denver arts community together. The celebration is the city’s largest fashion event, bringing together an eclectic array of new and experienced designers with local boutiques, stylists, makeup artists and models. Meow Wolf will join the lineup on Tuesday, November 15 at Sports Castle during DFW’s “Lifestyle” showcase.

Keeping with themes of artistic expression and sustainability, designer Kate Major, artist wardrobe coordinator at the Meow Wolf Convergence Station, has themed his debut collection around garbage. The line uses fully reused materials once destined for landfill. However, Major has elevated them to art.

This sustainable collection is inspired by the trashy masterpieces of Meow Wolf installations like Gremlin Symphony and the dystopian edge of C Street. Major’s line brings cosmic streetwear straight from a futuristic fantasy movie to the Denver runway. Many other looks from Meow Wolf’s rich multiverse of characters and worlds will also be featured at DFW.

“As someone who tells the Convergence Station story through fashion,” said Major, “I am honored
to conjure the magic of Meow Wolf off the show and on the runway.”

In addition to the first Meow Wolf runway segment by Kate Major, DFW’s fourth day will also feature Icon Suit featuring professional football players Bradley Chubb, Kareem Jackson, Jonas Griffith and PJ Locke. Haven Collective, Glam it!, Fashion Curator, Kawessi and MDC STXDIO also hit the runway for an evening of lifestyle wear. Expect to see everything from intricate handmade garments and accessories to everyday wear.
