Hooters Waitress Reveals Her ‘Fighting’ Secrets to Getting Big Tips

Tips are a critical part of the service industry, and advice on how to maximize a tip is always appreciated.

A Hooters waitress shared her secrets to making big bucks, saying it’s not just about how you dress, do your hair or do your makeup.

It also involves subtle interactions with customers.

Waitress Aby Lynn posted her secrets on TikTok, swearing by her proven methods to get an extra dollar from every customer.

First of all, Lynn advises that you make sure you always care about your appearance.

“People really notice every time you put an effort into yourself, and into your work, and that goes hand in hand, [so] they tip you more,” she says.

He also says to always keep the customer’s drinks full, which he describes as “the most important thing.”

“Even if they are half full, bring them another, because people are impatient,” he advises. “Keep them full.”

His next tip hinges on how comfortable you feel talking to customers, warning you that giving customers nicknames creates a connection.

“I like to call everyone by, like, these little pet names; makes them more comfortable [and] it makes them feel more attracted to you,” he said. “I always say, ‘Hey, baby, can I get you another drink?’ … ‘Hey, honey, do you want another beer?’ … ‘Hey, honey, are you ready for that check?’

“They eat it. I’m telling you,” she says.

He also has tips on how to charm someone if you’re with someone important or on a date, saying it’s particularly important when you work at an establishment like Hooters.

“If a guy is with a girl, you always greet that girl first,” she said. “You pay attention to that girl, you make eye contact with that girl.”

Lynn says the only time you’re going to look at the man is “when you’re taking his order or giving him a drink.

“Always make the girl feel comfortable,” he advises. “Especially when you work at a place like Hooters.”

Having fun at work is also a must, and Lynn says that laughing “a lot” is vital.

“Even if you don’t think it’s funny, even if it offends you, laugh,” he urges viewers. “Because they will tip you, I promise.”

Customers don’t always want a super-sweet waiter, Lynn says, revealing another secret is that it’s okay to be cheeky with customers, particularly older men, stating that customers will be more interested in tipping a “feisty” waiter. ”.

His example was answering “no” when a customer asks for a condiment but says it’s important to “make it obvious” that he’ll get what he ordered and always smile.

His next piece of advice was a bit controversial: always blame the kitchen.

“If you forgot to bring food, that’s the kitchen’s fault,” he says, suggesting offering something like a “free dessert” to win back the customer’s goodwill.

His final advice is to have fun, or at least look like you do, especially in a chain restaurant where they play the same music repeatedly.

“Learn the songs, love the songs, sing and dance to the songs, give them a little lip sync, a little shimmy,” he said. “If it’s their favorite song or even if they just think you’re a good time, they’ll tip you.”

In a follow-up clip, Lynn emphasized how important it was to make every customer feel comfortable and engage in conversation.

She suggests that the more you try, the more naturally it will come.
