Located at 940 West Fulton Street, BLND Beauty Bar (pronounced blend) officially opened its doors to help share the insides of Grand Rapids residents with the world.

Owners Jess Carae and Ris Ma are challenging the stifling idea of a beauty salon.
“We both love serving others, especially those in our community. We saw a need for an inclusive space for others to feel safe and heard, while also meeting their beauty needs. We’re proud to say we filled that need.” by creating a space that welcomes patrons of all genders, races, sexualities and creeds.”
As owners of this joint establishment, the name BLND Beauty Bar is very special to them.
“It was actually the last thing we decided on, but when we identified it, we realized how perfectly it reflects us as people and business owners.
