David Warner has been mocked by cricket fans after Australia’s first match was bizarrely scrapped during their decisive clash with Afghanistan in the World T20 in Adelaide.
Australia must win the match and win well to secure their best qualifying chance ahead of England’s final group game against Sri Lanka on Saturday.
After being brought up to bat, the Australians had gotten off to a good start and Warner looked in fine form at 25, having touched five bounds.

The first goal was kicked in by Naveen-ul-Haq after attempting a substitution strike which ultimately turned into a ‘backstroke’
However, he was brought down by Naveen-ul-Haq attempting a changeup shot, but after the ball was released, Warner ended up playing an odd shot that looked like a right-handed jab.
The left-hander missed the ball and was embarrassingly dismissed to leave Australia 48-2.
He continued Warner’s tough tournament which has seen him score just 44 runs at an average of just 11.
And, following his bizarre sacking, cricket fans were quick to mock a player who is a pantomime villain to England fans.

In response to a clip posted on social media about the layoff, one user said: ‘Things you love to see…’.
Another added: “Favourite wicket of the tournament.”
Another user quipped: ‘Practice that shot on the nets, right?’
England fast bowler Stuart Broad, known for tormenting Warner during the 2019 Ashes when he sacked the Australian seven times, also contributed to the sacking.

The 36-year-old tweeted: ‘Look… a jaffa on a right-hander.’
England’s supporter group, the Barmy Army, also posted mischievously.
They said, ‘David Warner – hitting left-handed – hitting right-handed – cleaning up.
England’s Stuart Broad and TMS commentator Charles Dagnall also commented on the wicket.
Broad also responded to this tweet, saying: “(Cleared) By a Jaffa to a right handed pitcher but he was pitching to a left handed pitcher who ended up being a right handed pitcher so was it a Jaffa?”
BBC TMS commentator Charles Dagnall also commented on the technical nature of the shot, saying: “Well T20 brings out the unorthodox…although I don’t recall seeing many switches…”.
Australia went to the post 168-8 in their 20 overs in which Glen Maxwell batted an unbeaten 54 off just 32 balls.
