Celebrities have stolen the show at spring/summer 2023 presentations, whether they’ve been sitting in the front rows or walking the runways (did you see Paris Hilton strutting around Versace? That’s great!). But today in Paris, designer Olivier Rousteing’s new collection for Balmain had arguably the best star cameo of the entire month: a final walk by Cher. Yes, the legend itself.

The surprise moment saw Cher, who is fabulous at 76, close the show wearing the French brand’s spandex suit design, which featured tapered shoulder pads, a plunging neckline and a subtle marble print. It wouldn’t be a Cher moment without a dash of theatrics, either, so she also made sure to rock towering platform wedge heels—death-defying shoes that she walked in with complete ease, of course.

And sure, Paris Fashion Week is far from over, with major Chanel and Louis Vuitton shows yet to come, both on the VIP guest lists. But the sighting of Cher at Balmain is hard to top. Her runway moment proved that amazing style and confidence happens at all ages; in fact, she clearly improves year after year. The only thing missing was a microphone, so she could sing “Believe.” But that’s getting greedy.
