Boston’s annual fashion week takes place October 8-15. The week-long event features a series of fashion shows, exhibits, educational programs, and parties.
This year’s event kicks off with a collaboration with the Cambridge Science Festival, a week-long pop-up festival featuring demos, workshops and performances across Cambridge. On October 8, the two festivals will host “Science + Fashion,” an all-day showcase at the Kendall/MIT Open Space featuring performances and discussions on high-tech fashion such as smart clothing and advanced fabrics.
Featuring local designers and models, along with some national and international artists, the rest of the week is aimed at increasing the visibility of the local fashion industry and giving visiting designers the opportunity to connect with a Boston audience.
