Baker McKenzie advises AURELIUS on the acquisition of Footasylum from JD Sports | Press room

Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie has advised pan-European investment firm AURELIUS on the acquisition of Footasylum, one of the UK’s leading streetwear and sportswear retailers, from JD Sports Fashion Plc (JD Sports).

The transaction was signed and closed in August 2022 and completed by the AURELIUS middle market joint venture structure, comprising AURELIUS European Opportunities IV Fund and AURELIUS Equity Opportunities SE & Co. KGaA.

The acquisition of Footasylum is the latest in a series of transactions in which Baker McKenzie has supported AURELIUS, most recently also advising AURELIUS on the acquisition of Minova in a global delisting transaction from ASX-listed Orica Limited.
