I tried all 17 beauty launches and here’s what I learned: For some reason, every beauty brand must have gotten the memo that August was all about fragrance and concealer because there was a new one almost every week. Me? I’m still in my #BlushGirlSummer.
The best thing about all of these launches is that they’re great for the seasonal transition we’re about to experience: floral fragrances with the perfect amount of warmth, full-coverage concealers to replace foundations for lazy fall days, and even some makeup products. trip if you prefer to travel after the summer rush.
I wore Prada Candy throughout my college years. He was sweet and gave me lots of compliments. So when I saw that Prada was officially making its foray into beauty and launching a new fragrance, I was eager to get my hands on it. It is intense with powerful suede notes yet balanced with soft jasmine and amber.
Baccarat Rouge 540 has gone viral on TikTok. So how do you get over that? Maison Francis Kurkdijan tried their latest scent, a musky floral. I have been using it to go to the gym, which may sound strange, but I really enjoy how fresh it smells after a long workout.
I am not exaggerating when I say that it is the best cologne I have smelled in a long time. I gave it to my friend and asked him to put it on; with a spray, the whole car smelled of lavender and incense.
As a full disclaimer, I’m a Kay Ali fan and love just about everything they release. This new scent is no different.

Sephora Collection Best Skin Ever Foundation is known as one of the best kept secrets in the beauty industry. I had to try the concealer myself, and I did so during one of my longest and hottest days this summer. It never moved through my sweat; in fact, my skin felt more hydrated with it. Since then, it has replaced foundation for me on days when I want full coverage, but not the caked-on look of full coverage.
This concealer was made with Southeast Asian skin tones in mind after the founder struggled to find concealers that matched her own. At a launch dinner, almost everyone I saw try it on was very impressed with the golden finish it left on the skin. Plus: It fills a void in the industry for Southeast Asian women who have had the same struggles. A victory for all of us.
Bobbi Brown’s light and creamy concealer melts into skin almost instantly. I don’t have very dark eyes, but after a few long summer nights I looked tired, and this was the product I turned to to wake up my face.
Charlotte Tilbury Concealer is a hybrid of makeup and skincare, meant to be both a concealer and an eye cream. Smoothness or blendability sold it to me. Plus: if you like to use highlights, you don’t need any with this concealer. shine.
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation is hydrating and buildable; a little goes a long way. It has been great covering my hyperpigmentation.
Ariana Grande’s rem beauty concealer is packaged as an eye cream. While it has a great blurring effect on the skin, I loved it for the contouring abilities of it. This product really encouraged me to try more of her products and so far I have nothing bad to say about it.
Until after we get bored of the refillable product bottles in the travel section of CVS. These sustainable and reusable bottles were created for us to travel in style. I already have my hair products in them for my next trip.
Fenty Skin Treatment Lip Oil is moisturizing and leaves my lips soft and smooth. It also has a sheer application that goes well with nude lip liner. Plus: The cherry scent takes me back to the 99-cent cherry lip balms the beauty product used to sell.
Another new product that TikTok loves. I don’t normally have enlarged pores, but I have found that this product quickly blurs skin texture and minimizes pores. With hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, it’s a game changer for complexion.
Who doesn’t love the Dyson Air Wrap? They launched a new color this month, a deep purple with metallic pink. Now it is not only one of the best tools on the market, but the most beautiful.
