I’ve spent countless hours walking the aisles of the beauty section of my local CVS. Listen, I grew up with Maybelline, L’Oreal, Covergirl, and even Rimmel London, and loved every second of it. Swapping shades of lip gloss on my wrist as I search for the next best contour stick. Sometimes I even leave it to chance and choose to go with a product simply because of its nice packaging aesthetic. Guilty.

But over the years, in the light of social media and of course personal trial and error, I found myself going back to my roots and enjoying the magic of drugstore beauty. We all know that if you’re looking for an affordable version of your favorite high-end product, the internet has probably already done your research for you.

As for me, I can only attest to the drugstore beauty finds now living rent-free in my makeup bag after years of exploring the drugstore scene, both virtually and in real life. Oh, and I also somehow got through my high school phase with a two-tone foundation that was too light. I would call that remarkable.

Below, dive into the world of six drugstore makeup products that will not only save you money, but also give you a flawless finish.
