This is what to look for today:

Connecticut sun in Chicago sky

8:00 p.m., Wintrust Arena, Chicago

Line: Sky (-4)
money line: Sun (+162), Sky (-195)
Total: 159 points
BPI Earning %: Heaven (50.3%)

Best Bet: Sky -4. With Sun facing elimination in Game 4 after a suboptimal performance in Game 3, they delivered. It was Connecticut’s first 100-point playoff game in franchise history. The Sun won by 24 points, which is the largest win in league history to force a Game 5. It is the third playoff game in which a team has won by 20 points or more, the previous two teams each winning. Game 5. The Sky came out flat and allowed Sun to take control of the game. For the rest of the game, Connecticut didn’t give up on him. The Sun were also superb in the paint and much more effective offensively.

So I have to think that Sky will be ready to play in Game 5, and Connecticut has to be mentally and physically ready. Chicago faces elimination in front of their home crowd, and the home court could give them the edge as both teams are evenly matched. –Eric Moody

Best bet: more than 159 points. This series has had ups and downs in scoring, with two low-scoring contests (average 139.5 PPG combined) and two scoring bonanzas (average 173 PPG combined). If there is any pattern, it seems to be that in the two most neutral games (eg 0-0 and 1-1), the games were more defensive and calm. But, in both games where a team felt like it had its back to the wall, after a home loss where the next loss could be prohibitive, the teams went out and put points on the board.

This is Game 5…the best game against the wall for both teams. Also, Sky defeated Sun last season in the playoffs en route to the championship. These two teams are desperate to win and also to avoid losing to each other. I expect both teams to achieve something big and score points in what should be a very competitive decider contest. –Andre Snellings
