Wisconsin woman’s old rant about Bath & Body Works goes viral on TikTok

Nearly 10 years after he originally posted the NSFW YouTube video “I COULD Boycott Bath & Body Works RANT!” Fox Cities resident Az4angela’s recording is going viral again due to a copycat rant on TikTok.

And she loves it. “I love being able to connect with so many amazing people on the internet,” Az4angela said Wednesday, adding that she still posts regularly to her YouTube channel.

This is not the first time that the 11-minute video of the Neenah woman has circulated on the Internet. It’s not even the first time someone copied it.

But the video, which depicts Az4angela’s quest to find Winter Candy Apple and Iced Gingerbread scented candles at various Bath & Body Works stores along the Interstate 41 corridor, has found its wings again on TikTok.

TikTok user @the.localhedgewitch holds a Peach Bellini scented candle as she imitates Az4angela's gestures in the second part of her viral video series on September 22, 2022.

A TikTok user who goes by @the.localhedgewitch posted her impersonation of Az4angela’s tirade in five parts, starting last week. The last part was uploaded on Monday. The first video got more than 7 million views.

Many TikTok users described the imitation of the original video of the Texas woman as spot on. During the second part, she even showed off a Peach Bellini candle in each hand, just like Az4angela did.

Actor Patton Oswalt retweeted the imitation video, saying, “OMG this should be taught in acting classes.”

In an NSFW response posted Monday on TikTok, @the.localhedgewitch said he watched the original video so much that he “accidentally memorized” it.

He said he has ADHD and autism and that he “hyperfixed” on the Az4angela video when he was younger. As a result, it only took about an hour of practice before she could imitate the video “word for word, gesture for gesture.”

“It was a bit of practice, but mostly hyperfixation,” he laughed.

Az4angela loves imitation

Meanwhile, the original tirade video has amassed more than 3 million views in the past decade. Although her original issue with candles was long since resolved, Az4angela has embraced her viral fame, referencing the video of her in her bio on multiple social media platforms.

She called the @the.localhedgewitch video series “one of the best things to happen” from her original tirade. “I had to put my phone down, I was laughing so hard,” she said.

As for the workers at Appleton Bath & Body Works, he hopes they’re doing well.

“Bath & Body Works is still one of my favorite stores,” he said. “I never stopped shopping there and I’m glad I didn’t.”
