From the creative mind of Meow Wolf’s costume designer, older kate, was an eclectic collection of bright colors and whimsical concepts. To set the mood and kick off the show, a giant eyeball walked on a long red dress. Looks to follow included a dress made out of business cards, a papier-mâché coat, a biker jacket with sideburns for shoulder pads, and a sparkly dress with lime-green splashes to finish off. All the models wore masks to cover their faces, with colored Plexiglas sheets cut out for the eyes, they looked completely one with the design. Every part of the design comes from recycled materials, taking inspiration from the trashy planet in the Convergence Station exhibit at Meow Wolf. Major’s edgy looks showcased what happens when you let your creativity run wild in fashion.
