Vietnam International Fashion Week kicks off in Hanoi

Vietnam International Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2022 (AVIFW) kicked off on Wednesday evening, welcoming domestic and international designers and guests.

AVIFW 2022, themed ‘Taste of Heritage’, presents collections from 18 designers and brands in Vietnam and abroad, aiming to embrace the beauty of cultural heritage combined with fashion.

In addition to familiar domestic designers such as Hoang Hai, Adrian Anh Tuan, Ha Linh Thu, Hoang Minh Ha, AVIFW 2022 will also welcome Duc Hung’s debut Vu Viet. Ha, Helene Hoai, La Sen Vu, Thao Nguyen, Hoang Quyen, Tracy Studio, Jang Hana, London College for Design and Fashion (LCDF) and international designers such as Frederick Lee (Singapore), Priyo Oktaviano (Indonesia), Jovana Benoit (Haiti ), Metiseko (France) and Paul & Shark (Italy).

Vietnam International Fashion Week is considered by experts to be the number one international fashion week in Southeast Asia and the fourth in Asia, behind Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai International Fashion Week.

“We hope that the upcoming collections will inspire and amaze fashion lovers with the creativity of designers this year,” said Trang Le, president of Vietnam International Fashion Week at the welcome party.

Four collections from designers Hoang Minh Ha, Adrian Anh Tuan, Duc Hung and Paul & Shark of Italy will comprise the 2022 AVIFW opening show on Thursday night.

This is the 14th edition of Vietnam International Fashion Week and the fifth time it has been held in Hanoi. This year’s event will take place from November 23 to 27, marking their return after two years of the Covid-19 pandemic.
