One Twitter user decided it would be a fun idea to keep track of everything he did in 2022 by registering some of his companies. However, when he shared the results of his logging, Twitter users were mortified to discover that he only showered 37 times in an entire year.

2022 was a break from the monotony for many. Years of being stuck at home for people around the world made 2022 a year where many got out and adventured, tried new things and enjoyed life in any way they could.

As such, some people took up new hobbies. A Twitter user decided to record everything she did during the year so she could remember it at the end of the year.

After posting their results on Twitter, users reviewed their stats and were surprised by some of them. But the main one that stands out is that he only showered 37 times in an entire year.

Twitter user defends showering 37 times in a year

The stats Twitter user Aella_Girl posted started off pretty normal, though perhaps they gave people too much information. These statistics were listed in the order of the activities she did the most.

She danced, wrote, drank, worked, cried, and even gambled a bit throughout the year, making this a pretty normal year with ups and downs that most can relate to at first glance. A fun little summary and a cool experiment.

But then people noticed his tally of how many times he showered during the year at the bottom of the list: 37.

The people in the answers tried to give you a way out here. Perhaps he forgot to record some of his showers, or perhaps, because of how he recorded this list, she showered more than once in any of those 37 days.

But Aella defended her lifestyle in the aftershocks and was well aware of what she was up to during the year.

people say i stink more but i can’t smell it :a) sometimes i actually stinky and i don’t care, usually when i’m sitting at home on the internet b) when i think i’m not stinky and i need to not be stinky i ask other people if I’m stinky to make sure I’m not blind by the nose

She stated that her goal is to “try not to disturb my skin’s natural microbiome too much. If I shower too often, I seem to stink more!”

With replies and quote Retweets heavily relating to her original tweet (which has over 3 million views at the time of writing), it’s clear the internet in general is not on board with her.

To further defend herself, Aella linked to an article about what happens when someone stops showering altogether. She also started a poll where other users could vote on how often they showered. While most people voted “Once a day or more” or “once every 2-3 days,” the vote for “once every 7 days or more” was at just over 11% at the time. of writing this article.

It’s not the first time Aella has had this conversation either. She can find her full story on her Twitter thread on the issue of November 2022.

how I shower infrequently but I don’t stink: I guess there’s some sort of microbiome balance going on; I first noticed this once I went camping, and then after I got home and showered with some tough soap, I found I stunk *much* worse the next day. 1/
