Tips For Farming ‘Destiny 2’ Dares Of Eternity Deepsight Weapon Patterns

The hottest activity in Destiny 2: Season of Plunder is… Dares of Eternity? Yes, we’re going back in time to last winter when Bungie’s 30th Anniversary free activity was introduced, along with a bunch of weapons inspired by previous Bungie games, including Halo.

Those weapons were sought after at the time, but to further engage new players with the crafting system in Destiny 2, Bungie has now done three things:

1) All weapons in Dares of Eternity can be crafted.

2) Giving them new groups of benefits

3) Giving them an origin trait

So your old god throws those weapons away? Trash! It’s time to farm again and get improved buffs and origin traits. The particular weapon that everyone seems to want is the BxR-55 Battler, essentially Halo’s battle rifle, which is powerful in PvP but can now be fun in PvE with a glowing vibe.

However, farming these weapons for crafting is…somewhat difficult. They all require five patterns except one of them, and there’s no way to target farm-specific ones. So how do you maximize your chances here?

The other half – What was once the hardest weapon to find will now be the easiest to craft, all drops in the other half are now Deep Vision drops, and you only need one pattern to craft. Even I, with my eternal quest to get the sword last year, quickly got this when I returned to Dares. So this is a gimme.

weekly pinnacle – Bungie has now made it clear that once per account, per week, if you complete the 250,000 point pinnacle quest, you will get a guaranteed red frame drop. I think it’s guaranteed to be one for a pattern you haven’t completed, but I need to confirm. You should do this every week anyway. While it’s possible to hit that score on a normal run, you’ll probably want to do it on Legend.

All rewards, all characters – You should maximize your consumption of paraversal transport packages, as you can get up to three keys (and as such three weapon drops) per crate if you’re lucky. That means making sure you do all the bounties for your characters every week. And if you have extra coins, buy… paraversal transport boxes.

farm legend – This is probably the singular tip to help maximize your farming overall. While it’s annoying that legend doesn’t have matchmaking, it’s arguably much easier than normal because you’re guaranteed to have infinite heavy ammo for two of the three sections because you’ll always know who’s going to be boss. Beyond that, higher scores mean you’ll see additional blitz rounds more often, netting you an additional three chests and more keys that way.

Those are my main tips, but let me tell you that you can do everything right and it will all come down to RNG. After dozens and dozens of keys, bounties, and weekly bounties, I’m still at zero Battler patterns, even though I’ve finished both swords and progressed with all other weapons. That’s the brewing routine, baby!
