Meghan Markle celebrated her birthday on Thursday and although she has always had a healthy lifestyle, Prince Harry’s wife will have to make some changes now that she is 41 years old.
Meghan Markle has always been known for having a healthy lifestyle, stocking up on supplements and spending time on yoga Y pilates.

However, the former Suits actress might need to make some changes to her exercise regimen now that she turned 41. Instead of sticking with relaxing yoga and Pilates, the Duchess of Sussex needs to change her routine.

“On a daily basis, a 40-year-old should aim for 30 minutes of moderate aerobic activity a day,” says personal trainer Chris Ruxton, who works with Deep Heat. “Be sure to include muscle-strengthening exercises for all of your major muscle groups three days a week,” he adds.

Meghan may also find that she becomes more prone to aches and pains from exercise now that she’s turned 41.
“Musculoskeletal pain can become quite common in your forties,” Chris warns. The musculoskeletal system includes bones, cartilage, ligaments, tendons, and connective tissues, so it can affect the entire body.
Meghan Markle has always loved Pilates
To limit pain, Chris advises Meghan include cardio, weight lifting, core and strength training, resistance and stretching exercises in her routine to improve cardiovascular and metabolic fitness and reduce the risk of bone and muscle loss.

Chris also points out that Meghan needs to be especially careful to protect her knees. “This is a key area for injuries in those over 40,” he says.

Chris recommends gradually increasing weight and slowly increasing running and jumping activities, as well as making sure you warm up and cool down effectively to protect your knees.
