As we wind down the year, our fashion contributor Marija Zivlak from women’s tennis blog has collected the most memorable clothing of the season behind us. The best part is that you can still find most of these sets at tennis warehouse.

Serena Williams said goodbye to tennis at the 2022 US Open and Nike celebrated their 19-year partnership in a crystal-encrusted black dress inspired by figure skating. To honor the legend’s regal status in the sport and provide an iconic look, Nike designed a matching glitter jacket and removable glitter cape. In addition, the 23-time Grand Slam champion’s NikeCourt Flare 2 shoes were customized with Serena Williams Jewelry pieces and Swarovski crystals.

In 2022, Nike experimented with unusual cutouts and an intriguing asymmetry. The best examples are the brand’s Melbourne and Paris collections.

Dynamic elements and nods to Nike design history created a collection filled with rich silhouettes that meld past and present in aesthetically pleasing ways.

Maria Sakkari from Greece stood out at Wimbledon with his adidas Parley London Cropped T-Shirt Y adidas Parley London Shorts. The bold outfit contains laser-cut details and texture patterns inspired by Morse code. What adidas is most proud of is the fact that her clothing contains recycled plastic bottles washed up on ocean beaches, while the fabrics are breathable and soft to the touch.

At the US Open, adidas introduced a new gender-neutral fashion concept in tennis. The tank top she’s wearing Jessica Pégula in New York introduces Unitefit technology, developed to comfortably fit a variety of sizes and shapes. The American also combined a purple version of the unisex top with the adidas Women’s Fall Gameset Match Skirt – Ecru.

Fila’s most memorable 2022 collection is the one they developed in collaboration with Brandon Maxwell, creative director of the luxury ready-to-wear brand that bears his name. shelby rogers turned heads at the US Open with his Fila Two-Piece Tank Top, an extraordinary combination of a regular racerback tank top and a classic polo shirt. The collared cropped section is made of textured mesh and is detachable. The jacket combined the innovative top with a preppy style Fila x Brandon Maxwell Printed Skirt.

Anett Kontaveit from Estonia brought sporty elegance to the US Open with this Lacoste Fall Performance Dress that looks like a tank tucked into a skirt. The soft yellow contrasted with the purple stripes is a beautiful color combination that we don’t see often on the tennis court. Texture-wise, the top is made from soft knit fabric with ribbing at the neckline, while the skirt is made from a lightweight fabric.

Australia Ajla Tomljanovic and his new apparel sponsor, Original Penguin, brought a fresh retro aesthetic to Wimbledon with the Veronica Performance Women’s Dress. A four-button placket with a Peter Pan collar, contrast piping, mesh sleeves and hem trim, and a ruffled silhouette from the waist down make this a timeless piece that will always be in style.

Coco Gauff made waves this year with its signature New Balance tennis shoe, coconut CG1. Inspired by ’90s basketball silhouettes and aesthetics, CG1 reflects the young WTA star’s personal style and features references to her life.
