Richmond Fashion Week returns for its 14th annual event series

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A season premiere event, Richmond Fashion Week, returns this fall for its 14th annual event series.

RVA Fashion Week features an unforgettable mix of events across the city, showcasing Richmond’s diverse fashion, top models, industry-leading designers, select producers, choreographers and stylists. The show is known as one of the biggest fashion productions in the city.

Fall Fashion Week will include a wide range of events, from panel discussions and networking events to sneaker culture events and personal care workshops. The festivities will include something for everyone.

14th Annual RVA Fashion Week Fall Events

RVAFW Launch: Creative Suite III: Wednesday, October 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

All fall participants are invited to a networking and photography showcase event at Brun at 203 N. Lombardy Street.

A sample from Fabeaucon, “In this chapter…”: Thursday, October 6 from 6 to 9 p.m.

A panel discussion with fashion designer Chanel Green-Nelson and Brittany Johnson focused on creative entrepreneurship. The panel will be held at The Len RVA, located at 15 N. 17th Street. Tickets are required and can be purchased here.

2nd Annual RVA Sneaker Festival – Day 1: Friday, October 7 from 9:00 p.m. to 01:00 a.m.

A celebration of Richmond’s sneaker culture with the opportunity to buy, sell and trade sneakers. The ticketed event will be located at the Black Iris Gallery, 321 W. Broad Street, and will feature a variety of artists. Tickets can be purchased here.

‘Portals to other worlds’, the Burning Man artist will debut a new exhibition at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden

Saturday self-care sessions: Saturday October 8 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

A donation-based morning yoga class will begin at 9 a.m., followed by a ticketed light brunch and self-care workshop. Both events will take place at Tang & Biscuit, located at 3406 W. Moore Street. Tickets can be purchased here.

2nd Annual RVA Sneaker Festival – Day 2: Saturday, October 8 from 2:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

A fusion of sneaker culture art installations, vendors, streetwear fashion shows and musical performances followed by an after party, all at Tang & Biscuit. The ticketed event benefits Girls For A Change, and Tickets can be purchased here.

RVAFW Final Runway Fashion Show: Sunday, October 9 from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The grand finale of fashion week will culminate with the fashion show, located at the Dominion Energy Center’s Rhythm Hall, 600 E. Grace Street. Fashion designs will range from avant-garde to contemporary, with notable brands including Paige the Artist x BLUECATHOUSE, Museum Rejects, Esther, KEZIAH AMAREE, Haus of Klyde, The Liznel, The Aziancy, k.Mcgough, Sister Boutique and 707. event will benefit Making Strides of Central Virginia.
