Red Ball Presents Fiery Fashion Show for World AIDS Day

Projectors above the catwalk displayed black-and-white photos and videos of historic images of LGBTQ talent, protests, and news articles highlighting the HIV and AIDS epidemic.. The show started around 8:30 pm with a lively performance by local drag queens, Bambina donut, samora kashY K.C. San Antonio. Amanda Carlson and Authentic: Grooves dance company soon followed with a contemporary dance routine.

GymShark the models strutted around in color-coordinated pairs. These workout outfits from the well-known athletic brand were all in different shades of pink and red, including form-fitting sets and some looser lounge outfits. They wrapped up their runway showcasing their best workout moves, showing just how much mobility GymShark clothing can provide.

Models with incredible silhouettes paraded down the catwalk representing SKYE|AIR. Some of the most memorable looks included a black and white batwing gown and a dark mauve one-piece with a long, flowing train. The juxtaposition between the slicked-down hats and the bold aesthetic of the clothing made designer Skye Barker Maa’s edgy style a unique addition to the show.

Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design students submitted their unique designs, with red aspects bringing the collection together. Some designers took a more professional approach with a red funnel neck dress and cropped suit jacket, while others went more edgy with a floor-length red vest of flowy fishnet material. The public was able to match the designer to their outfit as they walked the runway together to wrap up the collection.

Models of basket made the entire crowd smile and laugh as they danced around the floor in their bright red boxer shorts. Nothing held back as men of all ages confidently strutted down the runway in different styles of underwear.

Adobe Darko is a common name to see in the Denver area as a designer Chaim Bellinski participates in many catwalks throughout the year. This season, he unveiled an all-new collection at Denver Fashion Week, including new bodycon dresses and button-down shirts for men. Red Ball attendees were lucky enough to see this collection back on stage, but with two additional looks. Known for his funny catchphrases and popular logos, dark adobe never fails to impress and excite the crowds.

The final looks of the night were not from a single designer, but from a collection of brands: Artisan Optics, FM, Wellness Path, P2M Jewelry Y DU/ER. Collectively, they delivered outfits consisting of T-shirts, crewnecks, and statement glasses made for everyday wear.. The last to walk as part of the collection was a model who was celebrating his 73rd birthday on the catwalk. He was met by a burst of red balloons at the end of the stage.

In total, the event raised almost $70,000 for Colorado Health Network to continue helping those in need and organize an unforgettable show for fashion lovers in Denver.
