The Zambian international is rumored to be a target for the newly promoted Ligue 1 side.

The well-bred striker has proven popular with the Gers support since arriving last season.

The 25-year-old scored nine goals in 30 games last season, which is impressive considering many of his appearances came off the bench.

His antics on social media and on camera have also entertained the Ibrox faithful as have his goals.

He is usually seen laughing and doing interviews with a big smile.

His own Ibrox chant has also been dedicated to him, as Shakira’s famous World Cup anthem ‘Waka Waka’ was adapted into his name, and he is often seen reacting when warming up on match day.

But a recent report from France has suggested it could be on the move this summer.

French publication Homme du Match said: “Auxerre have applied for a season-long loan of Zambian international striker Fashion Sakala.

“The speed of the Glasgow Rangers winger is highly appreciated by the Auxerre board.”

But they also say it will be difficult to convince the striker to go to France due to his first-team responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Rangers have completed the signing of highly rated youngster Cameron Bell from Everton.

The youngster had been playing for Everton for nearly ten years before Ibrox’s move.

Bell, an under 18 international from Scotland, becomes the latest highly-qualified youngster to enroll at the Gers academy in what has been a very busy transfer window thus far.

Earlier this week, the Light Blues won the race to sign Bailey Rice from Motherwell, while also beating competition from England to sign Cameron Cooper from Partick Thistle.

Bell becomes the latest addition to the Ibrox youth squad and will join the under-18 team, managed by Cameron Campbell and Steven Smith, for next season.

Bell took to Instagram last week to confirm his departure from Everton, around the same time reports of a move to Rangers surfaced.

He said: “9 years in this football club.

“I traveled the world with my best friends and beat some of the best teams in the world. I was going to score some of my goals, but I thought it would be too many, you know?

I wear 90 pence Primark sandals and spend my profits on Gucci shoes for my sonI am a mum of 12 and placed a large order from Shein for kids their £10 leggings are the best

“Some of the best moments of my life playing for this football club and I wouldn’t change a thing.

“Thank you to everyone at Everton who made me the person and player I am today.
