Paris Jackson Talks Starring in KVD’s 2nd Beauty Campaign

Paris Jackson is bringing her creative eye to the beauty scene.

As the face of KVD Beauty, the 24-year-old musician celebrates the brand’s updated collection of Everlasting Hyperlight liquid lipsticks with a campaign that fuses her artistic vision with KVD’s bold and authentic innovations.

In addition to modeling the collection, Jackson also participated in the creative direction of the shoot, along with her stylist Danyul Brown and KVD Beauty Global Veritas Artistic Ambassador Anthony Nguyen.

“I like to do anything that involves creation, whether it’s music or [any other] art form. I think it’s fun,” she told PEOPLE exclusively while attending the collection’s launch event in New York City.

In a statement, Jackson called it an “unforgettable experience” working with the brand. “As an artist, it was extremely special to be able to [to] add my own twist to the launch of this new liquid lip collection.

Launched with 21 matte shades, ranging from everyday neutrals to vibrant colors like cobalt and violet, and named for “beautiful, yet dangerous botanicals,” the lipsticks are made with a long-lasting, transfer-resistant and light. weight formula. Plus, they’re vegan and cruelty-free.

To tap into the campaign’s “grunge-goth fairy aesthetic” – a concept translated through a series of ethereal photos shot by Sofía Sánchez and Mauro Mongiello – Jackson focused on palettes he gravitates towards, such as earth tones.

For her makeup, she experimented with the versatility of lipstick, using the shades on both lips and lids for a monotone look.

His reaction to seeing his vision come to life? “I thought she was cool,” she says.

Her favorite lipstick look is a combination of KVD’s Everlasting Lip Liner in Bow N Arrow, a deep mauve pink, and her transfer-proof Everlasting Hyperlight Liquid Lipstick in Moonlight, a terracotta pink.

On her personal makeup journey, the “Lighthouse” singer shares, “All the artists I liked growing up wore wild makeup. I’m sure there’s some influence there.”

The Sex Appeal and Habit actress also addressed her tattoos.

Recalling his first tattoo, he says, “It’s on my chest, it’s an alien,” sharing that it was something he got spontaneously when he was younger.

“I just wanted it, that’s how they all are,” he says of his growing collection, adding, “I’ve made a few of my own.”
