Our Fall/Winter 2023 legacy at Milan Fashion Week

Swedish label Our Legacy has become synonymous with deconstructed tailoring while bringing a contemporary twist to everyday wardrobe. For Spring/Summer 2023, Our Legacy set foot in Milan to photograph a collection that was thrown into the “air”. With the latter as the name of the collection, the brand drew inspiration from Mother Nature’s breezy characteristics through climate-friendly fabrics that were turned into lightweight suits, tech-advanced outerwear and revamped versions of the iconic denim of the brand.

Now, Our Legacy returns to the stage of Milan Fashion Week to show its new Fall/Winter 2023 collection. Shot in its Milanese establishment, the brand takes House signatures and applies a ’90s aesthetic to just about everything. that touches, with many of the garments shrunken and made to fit well, or on the other hand, inspired by children’s clothing that has been enlarged for adults

Check out pink ribbed mohair cardigans, super-cropped bomber jackets, fuzzy gray cardigans that have short sleeves (but are actually a nod to overgrown-kidswear), and patterned form-fitting tops with retro-inspired graphics. It’s here that Our Legacy begins to build its identity for FW23, as seedy indie undertones abound.

It’s not just leather jackets, double jeans and pointed boots that ooze this energy, no. If you look deeper, the scarves are thin and fuzzy, the plaid patterns on the shirts evoke the heyday of ’90s indie rock, and the knitwear is deliberately worn with elbows and shoulders pulling the wool into fine strands. .

Tailoring is a staple part of the Our Legacy production, and this season has also been given a grunge twist. The blazers are big, voluminous, and padded at the shoulders, the pants are rumpled and baggy, and in the middle is the shirt, a slouchy open-chested garment, and thin layered scarves for that edginess that prevails throughout the collection.

Our Legacy is one of the biggest trendsetters in the industry, and their FW23 collection is here to set the tone. Take a look at the clothing in the gallery above, and keep an eye on Hypebeast for more Milan Fashion Week FW23 content in the days to come.
