Yapa Milan

Inside the Yapa restaurant what first strikes you is the carefully orchestrated decor, its elegant neutral tones and dim lighting creating a relaxing yet quite sensational atmosphere. Nervous and inspiring, Yapa does not want to be just a nice place. The restaurant, run by chef Matteo Pancetti, also offers a careful selection of dishes that combine different cultures with a clear spirit: sharing, so customers are encouraged to enjoy dinner at the bar with a view of the kitchen.

The dishes are intended to be shared without precise distinction between starters, first and second courses. Finger-licking dishes include a donut stuffed with crispy swordfish, lettuce and tartar sauce, Conchinita Pibil tacos with black pork, red onion and jalapeños, a wagyu with Thai basil, green beans, lemongrass and white rice and a salad with papaya vegetables, red shrimp, coconut, peanut and thai pepper.

Pancetti, of Tuscan origin and who began working in the kitchen at the age of 15 and cooked together with Sergi Arola, said: “My cuisine mixes Mediterranean passion, Asian precision and South American spirit, it reflects the lands, peoples and cultures that have inspired me on my life’s journey, instinctively absorbing aromas, creating connections, and expressing myself through the sensory language of food.”
