Since beauty brand Buzzy launched in early 2021, Merit Beauty’s no-fuss, minimalist formulas have won the hearts of many makeup wearers. Known for its makeup-free aesthetic and clean, cruelty-free formulas, Merit Beauty’s carefully curated collection offers effortless products formulated to be buildable and customizable, inclusive, and easy to wear. Its minimalist stick, a lightweight foundation, concealer, and contour stick in one compact package, is certainly no exception.

Now, Merit Beauty has revamped the Minimalist Complexion Perfecting Stick (which garnered a waitlist of over 10,000 people after selling out earlier in the year) to include almost double the product at the same original price ($38). Nothing has changed about the actual formula of the Minimalist Stick, you just get more without paying more and the redesigned packaging makes it more portable and less bulky. What is not love, right?

Merit Beauty Perfecting Complexion Stick

I love Merit Beauty because all of their cleansers are formulated in collaboration with esthetician Biba de Sousa, who makes sure that each formula is non-comedogenic and suitable for both sensitive and acne-prone skin. This is important to me because while I love to add a little more coverage to my look from time to time, I don’t want to undo all the progress I’ve made with my skincare routine just to hide a couple of blemishes and underneath. of the eyes. circles

In addition, the royal formula feels highly breathable on the skin, as if you were wearing nothing, while providing sustained hydration to the skin. As someone with combination to oily skin, I also appreciate that while it doesn’t look grayish, too matte, or emphasize dry patches and fine lines, it also doesn’t seem to exacerbate my oiliness throughout the day. I absolutely hate feeling greasy and looking shiny, and many no-makeup complexion formulas tend to leave a less-than-desirable sheer residue on my skin that makes me feel just…gross. This not! Best of all, the Minimalist Stick is a multi-purpose product that, as a lazy beauty lover, I absolutely admire. You can use it as a full foundation, a spot concealer, and as a highlighter or contour (just go for a shade two to three levels darker than your skin tone).
