Catch it Wednesdays on Indy Now for hidden gems and must-see spots
INDIANAPOLIS — Mike Gillis, also known as Mike G, has made a name for himself in the city by helping people discover where to eat and what to do.
Originally from Northwest Indiana, Gillis moved to Indy to attend IUPUI and graduated with a degree in marketing from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
“I love that Indy is small enough, with enough to do,” he said. “It is a true middle of the main city.”
Gillis began sharing experiences on social media about where he ate and what he did for fun, then decided to see if he could convert ‘Where’s Mike G?’ in a business.
Since then, he has partnered with Daniel’s Family Vineyard & Winery to release two wines, a red blend called Reflections and a white named after his mother, Sherrce (awww). He can see you at the vineyard this Sunday, August 7, from 1-5 pm for his weekly Sunday Funday event.
