They grow so fast.
Ahead of her second birthday, Katy Perry says her daughter Daisy Dove Bloom is already a fashion star back home.
“Has my daughter inherited my love for shoes or was she born that way?” Perry teased in a video interview as FN’s June 2022 cover star. “I have a lot of shoes in the closet and she sees my closet every day. She has two racks of (her) shoes and she’s always (pointing) and saying ‘Shoes! Shoes!’ or ‘Boots! Boots!’ She is very specific.”
The music artist, who recently relaunched her Katy Perry Collections footwear brand after buying it outright from her former partner Global Brands Group, admits Daisy is drawn to all that footwear and fashion.

“She’s surrounded by a lot of (fashion), so I probably gravitate towards her. I have a sunglasses holder and she will put them on and pose and goof around. She loves a little reaction,” Perry said.
Perry says the girl has also inherited her fondness for costumes, and both mother and daughter look forward to dressing up for parties and themes.
“It’s very cute to see, cute to do right now. He has almost two. So when she sees mom put on makeup, she wants to put on makeup,” says Perry. “She likes to dress up, she loves clothes. She even likes to go shopping, she takes things out, she’s very sweet. We love the seasons and themes, Halloween and Christmas. We always gravitated toward themes and she loves it as much as I loved growing up.”

The star recently revealed to “People” that she’s saving some of her wildest outfits for Daisy, with an archive of her best red carpet and stage looks in storage. Perry tells FN that she hopes the official filing process will also lead to some missing but still coveted pieces, including a pair of Dalmation shoes that inspired her shoe brand.
“We’re going through a complete ‘Clueless’ categorization of my costume storage and all that,” says Perry. “One of these days, they’ll say, ‘What is this?’ and they will be my Dalmatian shoes.
