Kanye West made his debut as a runway model, walking in a show at Paris Fashion Week.
The Grammy-winning star made a surprise appearance modeling for luxury brand Balenciaga, opening their show for the spring/summer 2023 collection.
West – now known simply as Ye – walked on a track designed to resemble a bleak dystopian future with a muddy track with puddles of water and the soundtrack of gunshots and techno.
Wearing all black, from his Balenciaga baseball cap and bulletproof jacket to leather jeans, he also sported a bushy beard for his first runway appearance, along with apparent cuts and bruises on his face.
With her bloody lip and bruises on her cheek particularly visible once she stepped out into daylight after the show, some fans raised concerns about her health, but they appeared to have been part of her makeup.

Later, West was invited to the Givenchy show.
Wearing a black Balenciaga mouthguard, he was mobbed by admirers on his way to see the Givenchy show.
After the show, West, 45, posted a photo of himself on the runway, with only the word “war” written on it.
Explaining his use of mud on stage, Balenciaga creative director Demna shared his message for the show on Instagram, writing, “The stage of this show is a metaphor for seeking truth and being down to earth. Let everyone be anyone.” and make love and not war”.
West’s four children, North, nine, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, three, were all there to support him.
Kim Kardashian – who filed for divorce from West in February 2021 – did not attend, but her sisters khloe kardashian Y Kylie Jenner saw the show.

No stranger to fashion, West has his own fashion label called Yeezy, and has previously collaborated with big names like Louis Vuitton, Nike, and the Gap.
Following the rumours, West appeared to confirm that he will also be showcasing Yeezy season 9 at Paris fashion week, with a cryptic Instagram post reading “SZN9”.
Previous mood boards for her collection shared on her Instagram account featured the likes of Rihanna, Beyonce, Angelina Jolie, Naomi Campbell and Kim Kardashian, leaving some fans hoping they could get in on the show.
Sadly, it’s more likely that they were just inspirations for some of Yeezy’s latest designs.
