INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Fashion Week was created for the thousands of Hoosier creatives who want to be a part of the fashion industry, said creator and CEO Denisha Ferguson.
“It was like, you know what, let’s build Indiana Fashion Week here to be a platform and a resource for them,” he said. “So it’s this week.”
Ferguson visited Indy Now on Tuesday with Keng Xiong, a fashion designer serving as lead stylist for Indiana Fashion Week 2022, and Peggy Latta, a style designer who creates couture-inspired clothing from textiles she finds. in real estate sales or second-hand stores.

Fashion Week events are taking place throughout Indy through Saturday. The Young Designers challenge was on Monday and Tuesday. There’s a party at Selfie Wrld Indy on Wednesday night, a fashion show at Monument Circle on Thursday, and a Friday movie night at Newfields. The final big event, The Runway Shows, is Saturday from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Dallara IndyCar Factory at Speedway.
