How to Win Front Row Seats to Paris Fashion Week with Charity NFTs – World Water Day

What if the last NFT you bought guarantees you front row seats at Paris Fashion Week?

That benefit, and more, is touted in a new NFT drop. The NFT Collection is the first from non-profit funding platform Hero5 to bring funding into the digital age. Hero5’s newly created “The Good Society” promises to be a Web3 force for good when it comes to sustainable and charitable goals.

The first digital collection titled “Out of Sight | Out of Mind” drops on August 12 and can be purchased online with the Tez cryptocurrency or a credit card. The collection was designed by artist and sculptor Nate Mohler, who took the opportunity to emphasize the fragility of marine ecosystems under the barrage of humans and metropolitan life. For this launch and after digital products are sold out, $1 million (or 80 percent of sales) is set aside to benefit nonprofits like Lonely Whale, No More Plastic, and Oceanic Global, all of which they fight ocean pollution and have engaged with the fashion industry in one way or another.

Mohler said the first series does not focus stylistically on the oceans, but rather on large cities because they are responsible for the majority of carbon emissions and make up less than 1 percent of the Earth’s surface. “Similar to my ongoing ‘Painted Cities’ series, there are three unique styles intended to bring a more ephemeral and dreamlike memory of the city,” he said.

The full prize potential available to select collectors (one out of every 15 randomly sold tokens) includes: two front row seats at Paris Fashion Week (although it was not specified what shows those seats would go for), attendance at Ocean Global’s annual ocean conservation meeting or Lonely Whale’s annual leadership virtual town hall, as well as inaugural artist consultations.

“The Good Society is the next vital step in the evolution of the fundraising industry: a Web3 platform for creating impactful artistic experiences,” said Sebastien Heimann, founding member and CEO of Hero5 and The Good Society, in a statement. . “As the world moves to Web3, charities need more fundraising tools to stay ahead of the curve and embrace new ways to engage potential donors. The Good Society will provide those innovations, allowing them to raise critical funds and awareness for vital causes while fueling the public’s growing interest in digital collectibles.”

The Good Society aims to constantly release new collections, or 1,800 digital collectibles each month designed by emerging and acclaimed artists. While ocean conservation took the lead this time, wildlife conservation, as well as human and planetary well-being, are the charity’s guiding themes.
