Here are 5 viral videos from Cincinnati from the past week

We looked at five viral TikTok videos from September 16-23.  TikTok, the short-form video app, has more than a billion active users.  Cincinnatians have been using the growing platform to promote their businesses, share their lives, gain influence online and more.

No social media platform is more relevant today than TikTok. The short-form video app has generated more than a billion users.

Several Greater Cincinnati residents have found notoriety on the platform, including a local TikTok user who drew more than 1.6 million views for feeding a Skyline Chili raccoon. Ashley Nkadi, a student at the University of Cincinnati, also received more than 185,000 views on her video of a black and orange Balenciaga bag with tiger stripes.

There’s also Hellman Retail Group, a Cincinnati-based menswear boutique that has gone viral numerous times and amassed nearly 5 million followers. Oh, and we can’t forget Cincinnati native Alexis Nikole Nelson, who won a James Beard Award for Best Social Media Account in June.

The list does not end there. Cincinnatians have been using the growing platform to promote their businesses, share their lives, gain influence online and more.

Viral TikToks You Might Miss Last Week

1. A sorority from the University of Cincinnati, Tri Delta Zeta, went viral on Wednesday, September 21 for highlighting the love they have for their organization and their historic, albeit creepy, founder’s day photo.

two. TikTok influencer Pen Paladin is known for his Pokemon-themed content, especially the series about which characters would go into battle if a Pokemon master was from a specific state. The Ohio video, posted Monday, September 19, includes a Cincinnati-themed character and has 361,000 views and counting.

3. This TikTok influencer, who goes by @yucking_, is known for food and travel rankings. The video below, posted on Saturday, September 17, ranks five US cities based on the quality of their food, with local TikTok users outraged by Cincinnati’s location.

Four. A local cosmetologist, Ke’Asia Lee, posted the viral video of a homemade platinum blonde wig installation on Monday, September 19. The video currently has over 60,000 views.

5. This Cincinnati native and TikTok influencer who goes by @savagemomlife is known for her viral reaction videos. Here’s a post from Monday, September 19, featuring tips for the Bengals. It has more than 110,000 visits.
