Filippa K Fall/Winter 2023 at Copenhagen Fashion Week

After week-long runways in Paris and Milan, Denmark’s capital is now ready to follow suit, poised to kick off its Fall/Winter 2023 antics at the end of January. One step ahead of the curve, mixed label Filippa K heads to Copenhagen to present its latest offering of futuristic garments steeped in ’70s skiwear motifs.

For Fall/Winter 2023, Creative Director Liisa Kessler seeks celestial vantage points while drawing inspiration from Werner Herzog’s 1974 documentary The Great Ecstasy of Woodcarver Steiner, which charts the unprecedented success of legendary athlete Walter Steiner.

The new collection takes design inspiration from classic cold-weather outerwear injected with athletic motocross cues redefined by Kessler through an ultra-modern lens. Steiner’s iconic ski suit is crafted in a whimsical skintight design, while pastel hues dominate the eloquent fur coats, textured half-zip and après-ski-ready attire.

Elsewhere, velvet ensembles ideal for late-night adventures sit alongside denim sherpa coats, bomber jackets, and shiny patent-leather ensembles. Finally, the elevated wardrobe is completed with updated basics and a see-through lingerie style.
