During fashion week, seeing who is sitting in the front row and what they are wearing can be as fascinating as the runway itself. A perfect example of this FROW phenomenon was Fendi’s Fall-Winter 2022-23 haute couture show, which took place in Paris overnight.
On the runway, the collection was inspired by Japan, the first place designer Kim Jones visited when international travel resumed in 2021. Jones enlisted the help of a Japanese supplier of silk kimonos to help create the fabrics he used in the collection. But on one side of the catwalk, in the front row of the show, were a series of looks every bit as exciting as those worn by Fendi’s glittering models.

Model Winnie Harlow sat in the front row and, as always, almost stole the show. Dressed in a cream strapless top with printed pants and nude Fendi heels, Harlow could have stepped onto the runway and looked just like her at home.

Joining Harlow were Japanese actress Hikari Mori and Taiwanese influencer Molly Chiang, layering Fendi prints and earnestly advocating both pixie cuts and space buns.

The front row also featured English actress Lashana Lynch, who reminded us of the style statement Fendi accessories make both on and off the catwalk.
