Fashion icon, designer and founder of the legendary 1960s fashion brand BIBA Barbara Hulanicki presents “Fun In The Sun” on Runway 7 during New York Fashion Week on Sunday, September 11 at 5:00 PM at Sony Hall, 235 W. 46th Street.

Barbara Hulanicki’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection will include 39 looks with a variety of black and white staples made from certified Peruvian Pima cotton. “Fun In The Sun” refers to the British style and humor of Hulanicki, who always wears black. Highlights of the collection include bold monochrome graphics and striped long sleeve tees with skulls, hearts and peace signs, short sleeve graphic tees, black sweatpants embellished with contrasting butterflies and a themed knit beanie. Peruvian complete with llamas.

Barbara Hulanicki has been a constant driving force driving the design and retail industries forward in style and innovation since she founded BIBA with her husband Stephen Fitz-Simon in 1964. The emporium soon became the iconic hub of the fashion and music like Mick Jagger, David Bowie, and Marianne Faithfull. Being awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to fashion in 2012 was a physical recognition of her title and her influence as a British fashion icon.
