Farfetch may be your go-to shop for that new designer bag or dress that you’ve had on your wish list for quite some time. I know my cart is full when I browse the site. It will fill up even faster now, because Farfetch has added beauty to its list.
Earlier this year, Farfetch announced the acquisition of beauty retailer Violet Grey, home to brands like Ami Colé and Augustinus Bader. Today, April 20, the luxury retailer launched its own beauty destination, Farfetch Beauty, which has become the home of more than 100 beauty brands. These include La Mer and Charlotte Tilbury, as well as more independent lines like BeautyStat and Nécessaire.
However, the new curated beauty destination, which includes makeup, skin care, fragrance and bath products, is more than just a shopping mall. Farfetch wants to be a community for everyone, of all ages, races, cultures and genders. That’s why she created the Global Beauty Community Platform. Run by a collective made up of industry experts and professionals including dermatologist Dr. Michelle Henry and makeup artist Erin Parsons, the network is free and once you start sharing beauty tips and advice, you’ll earn points, which will be added to your account, and help you get exclusive discounts and sales.
Needless to say, it will also be powered by my coins, because it’s rare to find all my favorite fashion and beauty brands (especially luxury ones) in one place.
Here are some products you may want to add to your cart to celebrate the launch.
This cream is worth every penny. It is a cult favorite that is mixed with vitamins and molecules to nourish the skin. It leaves me with a smoother texture and instant shine, and it has a long shelf life.
Our bodies deserve the same love that we give our faces. This body serum is my favorite post-shower skin ritual because it hydrates and renews the skin. It really got me through the brutally dry winter.
This spicy blend of vanilla and woody notes smells like a big bottled hug. It is warm and toasty. Layering is not necessary, because the fragrance is strong on its own.
Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Darker Skin Tones line is the holy grail for all black women, myself included. This plumps and hydrates the skin for all day hydration and nourishment.
If I had to pick one luxury skin-like foundation that can’t be left off my shelf, this would be it.
La Mer Smooth Cream is a must in winter to lock in moisture. However, as the weather warms up, I love transitioning to the brand’s cool gel crème, because it has the same moisture without the heavy texture.
I don’t think there is a night product that has treated my hyperpigmentation the way this one has. Its formula combines mandelic, lactic and salicylic acids with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide for a night miracle that unifies and smoothes the skin.
Gucci nail polishes require no more than one coat. The bottle is also incredibly stylish. Who wouldn’t want to wear their colors all spring long?
This foundation is known for its light application and the natural radiance and luminosity it gives to the skin.
A clump-free, voluminous mascara will always be a hit with me, and this packaging is classy and feminine.
The blend of Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C and MHC Repair Complex work together to de-puff and brighten the under-eye area. I love using it to renew my skin during a relaxing weekend.
Speaking of de-puffing eyes, this 111Skin Sub-Zero Eye Mask is a must-have after any flight because the cooling hydrogel seeps into skin for immediate hydration.
Guests will want to leave your house and take the soap with them after one use of this scented soap.
Stay in contact.
