‘Emily in Paris’ Season 3 Fashion Is All About Platform Shoes

Season 3 of Netflix’s “Emily in Paris” isn’t here yet, but Emily is already back in her trademark whimsical fashion.

And in what may be her most conservative and down-to-earth office attire yet, Emily can be seen in episode 3 of the upcoming season wearing burgundy platform patent leather pumps with wide-legged black pants and a cropped orange blazer.

In previous seasons, famed costume designer Patricia Field was a wardrobe consultant for creator Darren Starr’s “Emily in Paris.” The two also worked together on “Sex and the City,” so it’s no surprise that the Netflix show has become one of the hottest TV shows of late, albeit with mixed reviews. Some describe Emily’s appearance as absurd, over-the-top, kitsch, and certainly not French.

Colorful, mixed prints and towering heels have been Field’s bread and butter since the ’90s, when Carrie Bradshaw was the hottest fashion girl on TV. When it comes to style now, Field isn’t enthusiastic about current trends.
