Mark your calendars for February 23-27 and get ready for an elegant slate of events, because it’s time for Delray Beach Fashion Week! Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this award-winning event by the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and downtown merchants has always been one of the highlights of the season for many. Laura Simon, executive director of the DDA, attributes the popularity of these events to “her playful engagement with local merchants and customers who love our town by the sea. You’re creating a very authentic Delray experience. The fashion shown at the shows and events is found in downtown retail stores, so what you see on the runway you can go straight to the store and pick it up.”
Downtown Delray Beach draws on local creatives and merchants. The talent we have in our own backyard is immense, not to mention all the wonderful locally owned boutiques. Delray Beach Fashion Week spotlights local designers, artists, and entrepreneurs. Maryse Boisvert, owner of the Blings & Things boutique, which is participating for the sixth year, says that “it is the perfect occasion to show our collections to the audience that comes from all over South Florida.”

Five days of events in downtown Delray Beach will kick off with the unmissable opening night fashion show on Wednesday, February 23. New York Fashion Week’s Bryant Park has a formidable counterpart with the Park at Old School Square serving as a new setting. for the show on stage with more than 30 retailers. As in years past, excitement and fun are sure to fill the air with over 70 models strutting down the runway with style and confidence. As Simon puts it, “Opening night will have a fun tropical vibe, making a great splash in the heart of downtown Delray.”
Another highlight worth seeing is the “Colors of the Tropics” fashion show and lunch at the new Meso Beach House restaurant on Thursday, February 24. And if you can’t get enough of a good fashion show, Saturday’s runway will feature fitness and swimwear, two staples found in most Floridians’ closets.

Opening Night: “Living in Paradise” Fashion Show Experience
Wednesday, February 23, 2022 | 6 to 10 p.m.
The “Living in Paradise” opening night parade will feature more than 30 retailers highlighting the “best of the best” their stores have to offer. Enjoy tropical décor, live musical entertainment, walk-through photos, food and pop-up shops from downtown merchants, a cash bar offering wine, beer, champagne, and a lounge.
Location: Park at Old School Square, 44 NE 2nd Avenue, Downtown Delray Beach
Price of admission: $50 per person for the opening reception, a seat for the show and 1 complimentary drink.
Fashion Show and Lunch “Colors of the Tropics”
Thursday, February 24, 2022 | 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Celebrate the colors of the tropics with a themed fashion show featuring more than 40 spring and summer resort styles. Lunch includes an opening reception, three-course lunch, silent auction, and entertainment at the Meso Beach House. Each guest will also receive a welcome cocktail, goodie bag and entry to a raffle package worth over $500.

Sunsational Shop and Sip Event
Friday, February 25, 2022 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. (CHECK-IN 10-11:30 a.m.)
Join us for a Sunsational Store and Event throughout Downtown Delray Beach. Check in to the Rosewater Rooftop at The Ray Hotel and receive a complimentary beverage, light brunch nibbles and a goodie bag with special shopping deals, then stroll downtown to shop at the many retailers seen on Rosewater Week. Fashion. Passport provided to each attendee to be reviewed at each participating location. All completed passports will be entered into a drawing for a Downtown package. Hand out passports at the post-event reception at Johnnie Brown’s. Enjoy free parking along Atlantic Avenue.
