Susan Plagemann has landed an important new gig

Endeavor has tapped fashion expert Susan Plagemann to run its fashion portfolio, WME Fashion. Plagemann has been named President of WME Fashion at the helm of Art + Commerce, IMG Fashion Events and Properties, IMG Models and The Wall Group. We are delighted to welcome Susan to WME and the Endeavor family.” Mark Shapiro, president of Endeavour, said in a statement. “He brings more than three decades of experience, a strong network and an eye for unique and forward-thinking business opportunities. We look forward to working alongside Susan to continue to invest in and evolve our fashion portfolio at a time when there is tremendous momentum at the intersection of fashion, sports and entertainment.” Plagemann will oversee a portfolio encompassing elements including sponsorships, exposure, imaging, cross promotions and more. Prior to this role, she was the commercial director of Condé Nast’s style division before leaving the company last September after more than a decade. Congratulations!

Adele talks Las Vegas residency, marriage and more for sheseptember issue

Legendary singer and pop culture icon Adele will soon hit our newsstands as the cover star of sheseptember number. In a sheer dress by Fendi and a fur coat by Pologeorgis, the easy on me singer split to writer Emma Carmichael on her year-long relationship with sports agent Rich Paul and the cancellation of her Las Vegas residency, which she described as the “worst moment in [her] professional career.” After much back and forth, she confirmed that she hopes to remarry and have more children. As for what fans can expect from her now-reimagined Las Vegas residency, Adele revealed, “I want to tell the story from the beginning. beginning of my career so far. I’m not going to give too much away about it, but the show grows. The show it grows. It’s about the music, and it’s very, very nostalgic. It’s going to be really beautiful… I don’t have vignettes, obviously, when I speak. That’s why my shows are so erratic. Model Daphne Groeneveld wore Galia Lahav for her Florence wedding

Everyone has their own unique vision for their fairy tale wedding. For Dutch model Daphne Groeneveld, her vision saw her and her now-husband, estate agent Justin Hopwood, marry at the stunning Villa Medicia di Lilliano in Florence. On top of this, Groeneveld’s stunning custom gowns, not one, but two, were fantastic in their own right. Designed by New York-based dressmaker Galia Lahav, the first was an elegant lingerie-style dress with a sensual cutout at the back. The second, which Groeneveld wore to the reception, was an equally gorgeous strapless minidress with an asymmetric train and feather details. The bridesmaids also wore custom Galia Lahav silk gowns in sage green, each choosing her favorite silhouette. Solange Knowles will compose for NYC Ballet

Solange Knowles has added yet another string to her bow. The Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and visual artist has been commissioned by the New York City Ballet to compose a new score, which will debut at the company’s annual Fall Fashion Gala on Wednesday, September 28 at Lincoln Center. The piece will mark Knowles’ first ballet composition and will be written for a chamber ensemble and performed by some of the composer’s frequent musical collaborators. It will feature choreography by Gianna Reisen, who will perform her third work for NYCB and will feature costumes by fashion designer Alejandro Gómez Palomo. In addition to Knowles’ world premiere, the evening will include a world premiere ballet by Kyle Abraham (costume design by Giles Deacon), the live premiere of Justin Peck’s Solo (costume design by Raf Simons), and excerpts from the Symphony of George Balanchine. in C (costume design by Marc Happel).
This year’s event will honor Sarah Jessica Parker, Vice President of the NYCB Board of Directors, who conceived of the Fall Fashion Gala in 2012. To date, the concept has raised more than $24 million for NYCB with the participation of nearly 30 internationally renowned designers. After the gala, Knowles’ work will be performed later on Saturday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m.; Saturday, October 8 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; Tuesday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m.; and on Sunday, October 16 at 3 p.m. Following this limited run, the play will return for five more performances during NYCB’s Spring ’23 season on Tuesday, May 2 at 7:30 pm; Thursday, May 11 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, May 13 at 8:00 p.m.; Wednesday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m.; and on Thursday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m.
