The trend, coined by TikTok’s Lex Nicoleta, combines everything that gives off chic coastal vibes, from easy-to-wear beachwear to cedar-shingle waterfront homes, Ina Garten recipes and Nancy Meyers movies.

Nicoleta advised that followers of the trend invest in a few basic items, such as a white button-down shirt, a bucket hat, a white dress with a delicate silhouette, linen pants or shorts, a comfortable sweatshirt, vintage sunglasses and a neutral tone sandal

Vogue.com called the coastal granny the “hottest trend of the summer” in a Memorial Day weekend feature.
The overall great coastal aesthetic has also been embraced in interior design and home décor.
