Cher at Paris Fashion Week 2022: What happened? What was she wearing?

At 76, Cher returned to the stage, this time on the catwalk. The 1970s fashion icon stunned fans with her surprise appearance at Paris Fashion Week.

Driving the news: Cher stole the spotlight at the close of the Balmain Spring/Summer 2023 show. Accompanied by Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing, Cher strutted down the catwalk with her hit song “Strong Enough,” according to “Good Morning America.”

Cher proved she still has it when she took the stage in a futuristic spandex catsuit, platform boots, metallic eyeshadow and her signature straight hair. Rousteing praised Cher for her decades-long career in music and film. “Cher has been a bold trailblazer, a true trailblazer,” Rousteing said. “She bravely marches forward.”

What they are saying: Cher was just as impressed by her runway moment as her fans were.

Details: Balmain applauded the show on Instagram, along with a photo of Cher and Rousteing. “Balmain channeled the spirit of the fearless visionary, celebrating art and culture for all,” the post read.

Cher took the stage after more than 100 runway models, including Ashley Graham and Kirsten McMenamy, according to WWD. After the show, Cher called the models “beauties from another universe.” Just one day later, Cher appeared on the Rick Owens show in a rock-inspired plaid ensemble.
