Celine Brings the Element of Rock Music to the Hollywood Fashion Show

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Celine brought a new fashion line to the Hollywood spotlight in front of a star-studded audience as she infused rock music on designer Hedi Slimane’s “Age of Indieness” show Thursday night.

The fashion label’s show at Los Angeles’ iconic The Wiltern Theater featured dazzling black and gold dresses, faux fur coats, slim leather pants alongside gold-buttoned jackets and coats. Each model walked the runway to the rock-infused “Hello Operator” by The White Stripes while showing off the fashion house’s latest collection.

The co-ed runway graced the eyes of various celebrities and artists, including Cindy Crawford, Doja Cat, Brie Larson, Justin Hoffman, Paris Hilton, Kid Cudi, Paris Jackson, Ava Phillippe, Wiz Khalifa, and Courteney Cox. Crawford watched as her daughter, Kaia Gerber, strutted around in a shimmering gold dress.

Slimane incorporated men’s and women’s clothing. Some of the clothing worn were red blazers with gold trim, high-heeled black leather boots, black suits, and gold feathers dangling from the jackets.

After the show ended, Slimane briefly took the stage holding Gerber’s hand, waved and bowed to the mostly black-clad audience members who rose to their feet and applauded his fashion efforts.

The fall/winter fashion show eventually turned into one big party in the lobby area, as attendees were served food and drinks before enjoying live performances that lasted a couple of hours in the theater.

A night focused on the aesthetics of rock closed with performances by Iggy Pop, The Strokes, Interpol and The Kills.
