Ajax Taps Daily Paper for the third kit 2022/23

Football and fashion are currently on par. In recent years, we have seen collaborations between Palace and Juventus, Real Madrid and Yohji Yamamoto, Paris Saint-Germain and GOAT, and even an exclusive football boot designed by Virgil Albloh for Kylian Mbappe. However, in all of European football, it is clear that some teams simply get it’s – and one side that does is Ajax.

The Dutch champions debuted one of the best jerseys of the season last year with their Bob Marley-inspired kit, and now Ajax and adidas have turned to Amsterdam-based label Daily Paper to design the club’s third kit for the 2022/23 campaign. The jersey design is inspired by Amsterdam’s street soccer culture and its iconic soccer cages that have been synonymous with nurturing some of the best soccer talent in the Netherlands. Coming in a gold hue, the jersey features nine football pitches based in Amsterdam along with a playful interpretation of the coat of arms around the external collar details. The kit also features Daily Paper branding below the Ajax crest, while white detailing sits alongside a dark stripe running from the collar to the bottom of the jersey.

In conjunction with the kit launch, Ajax, adidas and the Daily Paper released a short film, directed by Rogier Smalhout, featuring a cast of past and present Ajax players showing pride in the city of Amsterdam and its football culture.

You can take a closer look at the short film above along with the new Ajax third kit which is now available in the Ajax club shop and on the official adidas and Daily Paper websites.
