References to NFL training camp tend to get a lot of buzz, but sometimes the low-key ones hit the hardest.
Months after signing a $150.8 million contract with the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers showed up to training camp that way, sporting a Nicolas Cage-inspired undershirt and jeans in the 1997 movie “Con Air.” “.
Given the status of his contract, seeing him appear in such a specific appearance caught the attention of many.

“About two months ago, someone said ‘man, you really look like Nic Cage,'” Rodgers said, according to Sideline Report. “Before I could get offended, they said ‘no, no, no, that’s a great compliment. I find that very attractive’… So I thought I’d do it, but last night I didn’t have my whisk, my top.”

Luckily for Rodgers, his new top receiver, whom he referred to semi-ironically as a future Hall of Famer, was there to rescue him.

Long story short, someone said that Rodgers looks a bit like Nicolas Cage, and he took that to mean, “I should wear the Nicolas Cage look from ‘Con Air’ to boot camp.”
Rodgers and the Packers are looking to get over the hump this season and make it to the Super Bowl for the first time since winning it in 2010. If nothing else, he’s certainly making waves early in the season for his fashion choices.
