Williams was Carter’s ex-girlfriend, and has not been since her dismembered body was found in various bags along Interstate 75 in Ohio in October 2018. She was ruled to have died of a single gunshot wound in the head.

Since the release of the Unsolved Mysteries episode on Tuesday, October 19, the team behind the series revealed in a conversation with TMZ that more than 90 leads have been submitted to Ohio police investigating her death.

The team also confirmed the positive news via the Unsolved Mysteries Twitter page by re-sharing the TMZ article.

In a tweet, Unsolved Mysteries wrote: “Thank you to all the citizen detectives who have shared a tip. To anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of Tammy Williams, please forward it to our website: https://unsolved.com/tips /.”

Williams, now 43, has been on the run since Carter’s death in October 2018, and tips received since “Body in Bags” premiered on Netflix suggest she is still in the US.

Williams and Carter were last seen together at a soccer game on September 28, 2018. Two days later, on Sunday, September 30, Carter’s son DJ was supposed to stay with his father, but both he as his mother, Samia Conner, received a text message sent from Carter’s phone saying that he was too sick to spend time with her son.

Later that Sunday, DJ visited his father’s house to pick up some belongings when he saw Williams taking out the trash.

Speaking on Unsolved Mysteries, DJ recalls Williams’ strange behavior when she saw him that day: “She ran to the door of the apartment, like, she ran. And when I got to my dad’s house, the door was locked. I would have thought she would tell me.” saw, I would have left it open, but I had a key.

On Tuesday, October 2, 2018, the Carter family received a call from their friend and co-worker, Roger Davis, who told them that Carter had been absent from work for the past three days, which was extremely unusual.

Carter’s family rushed to their apartment in Melvindale, Michigan, and upon entering their bedroom they saw a bloodstained mattress and evidence of bullet holes in the closet door.

Carter was officially declared a missing person on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, but less than a day later, his disappearance was turned into a homicide investigation after his lifeless body was officially identified.

On Monday, October 1, a moving crew from the Ohio Department of Transportation discovered a bag containing the dismembered lower torso of an adult male.

Sadly, over 16 days, Carter’s body parts would be found in various locations along I-75 in Ohio.

Williams was arrested by Michigan police on Friday, October 5, as a prime suspect in Carter’s death, but was released three days later due to insufficient evidence against her for authorities to press charges.

Today, US Marshals are seeking Williams for “mutilation, dismemberment of a corpse, tampering with evidence and felony firearm.”

She is 5-foot-5 and weighs about 190 pounds, with “several notable tattoos,” according to the US Marshals. A $10,000 reward is available for any information leading to her arrest, but she may have tampered with your appearance and you may be using an alias.

There were a number of sightings of Williams recorded in the weeks after Carter’s death.

According to Andrew Battersby of the US Marshals Task Force, Williams was seen in Ann Arbor, Michigan on October 16, 2018, withdrawing cash from an ATM and dining at a restaurant.

Williams is then believed to have taken a train to Chicago and another to Penn Station in New York City.

There is evidence that the suspect checked into the Neptune Hotel using her own name and stayed one night. However, Williams was seen leaving the hotel on October 18 and has not been seen since.
