Every fashion week, I overhear the same phrase from industry peers: It’s a marathon, not a sprint. There is some truth to this small talk, right down to the outfits cataloged in our street style diaries. Athletes and fashion people need very specific equipment to perform at their biggest events. But with the exception of a select few sneakers, what keeps us energized and moving couldn’t be more radically different.
Kicking off at New York Fashion Week and heading to London, Milan and Paris, BAZAAR editors arrive at the spring/summer 2023 shows with our best essentials in tow. Some items inevitably find their way into our street style every season, like a roomy yet aesthetically pleasing tote bag and a sturdy portable charger to tuck inside. Then there are the ones that feel necessary if only to capture this exact moment in style, from suede cowboy boots to midi bubble skirts. We’re also proud to be part of the 2022 chino obsession, including for fashion month: three of our editors wear some variation of khaki pants, and two rely on the exact same pair.
