Viral Parent Trap Video Makes TikTokers Reconsider Movie (But Real Fans Already Knew This)

If you were a child of the 90s, there is a good chance that you have been introduced Lindsay Lohan’s career double (and you probably thought it was legitimately two people) when Disney’s The Parent Trap came out around 1998. The remake of a 1961 House of Mouse movie tells the story of long-lost twins who find themselves at a camping trip. summer and decide to change places so that each one knows his other father. But after this TikTok from one of the movie’s stars, fans are rethinking the entire movie.

Who could forget Meredith Blake? She is the other blonde and beautiful woman for the father of the twins, Nick (played by Dennis Quaid), who serves as an obstacle to her grand plan to get her parents back together. Well, Elaine Hendrix, who played Meredith, made this TikTok and it went incredibly viral:

Hendrix, who posted the video to honor The parent trap for their anniversary (he’s 24 years old!), really makes people reconsider his character as a villain. TikTok uses the “he’s a 10 but” trend, but in this edit, the actress is taking a big sip from a glass of wine as a voiceover recounts the movie’s plot from Meredith’s perspective.

As the video says, Meredith had no idea about Nick and Elizabeth’s pointless custody agreement, among other confusing things inside The parent trap, but once it all comes crashing down, she really is up for a ride. After an unexpected meeting at a hotel, Meredith is a casualty within the twins’ plot, which includes some pretty serious banter, especially when they go camping together later in the film. Do you remember when the lizard gets into the mouth? Yes.

The video has amassed 1.7 million views at the time of writing, making it a huge hit on TikTok. And the comments are littered with people realizing that Meredith Blake wasn’t the villain they remembered. Take a look at some of the talks:

Hiphyrenee: Meredith didn’t do anything wrong. #justiceformedithblake

Kaysimp90: 😂😂😂😂 as an adult I feel bad for Meredith Blake.

Moon bunny cakes: growing up is realizing that Meredith Blake wasn’t the villain and she was just upset that she had a great time with him and the twins screwed it up.

master seagull:Honestly, as I get older, the parents are the villains of that movie, not Meredith😂

Are fans siding with Meredith Blake after all these years? Maybe she’s not the villain who posed as the twins’ perspective. Hey, if you were dating someone and you were short-sighted about their kids and their previous marriage, along with pranking you on a trip, you might not take it well either. Worst of all, the parents decided to keep their brothers away from them and lie to the girls all these years as they lived separate lives around the world.

Hendrix not the first The parent trap star to create a TikTok referencing the movie, but the comedic timing in this one is absolutely perfect. The best part is that Meredith apparently hasn’t looked back since the entire incident. maybe we I need a sequel to the Disney movie. to officially clear this up. Parent Trap is available to stream with a Disney+ subscription if you’re in the mood to rewatch the ’90s favourite.
